For the do-it-yourselfer who likes the Permaculture
concept but isn't sure where or how to begin; this consultation
provides a framework for easing the process while adding to one's
toolkit of knowledge that will assist in nurturing a plan...a strategy
to get yard and house working in unison rather than acting as separate
entities. The end result can be a home that uses less energy*
and water**, and a beautiful multifunctional
yard that produces an abundance of food with minimal input.
| *
Air conditioning can be completely bypassed in many situations
with a properly ventilated roof and landscaping that is also
edible.
** Excluding toilet water, most
if not all other water used in a home can be safely reused,
with simple and inexpensive methods, to water the landscaping
that also cools the home and provides fruit. Strategies can
also be employed to take advantage of rainwater with small
earthworks and/or cisterns |
