What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is an interdisciplinary design system based around a set of ethics that can be used to move individuals and communities towards a sustainable future. Integrating the principles and techniques from ecology, agriculture and architecture, Permaculture focuses on the whole rather than the individual disciplines with the goal being that of a greater yield with less input.

Derived from the words permanent, agriculture and culture, the term Permaculture was coined by Australians David Holmgren and Bill Mollison in the mid 70’s. The resulting system is considered one of the greatest Australian innovations ever produced, spawning institutions and practitioners worldwide.

Earthen Exposures role in Permaculture
Drawing from a background in agriculture, construction and architectural design that extends four decades, Earthen Exposure offers a wide range of permaculturally-based services revolving around the home environment, a total environment that goes beyond that of “green” home design.
